Survey " development and spread of smart product service systems"

As in the past, the focus in the business world is particularly on technical developments. In general, products and services are increasingly interlinked. In this more and more widespread development of data-based and intelligent ("smart") systems, this way of thinking quickly reaches its limits. Here, the focus is more on customer benefits and this provides the framework for future innovations. Accordingly, the importance of integrated development of smart product-service systems (sPSS) moves further and further into focus.
Now, the intention is to determine the extent to which products and services are integrated and what specific support is needed in practice with regard to this topic. Therefore, the project bi.smart, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), is currently conducting company surveys.
